The church of Agios Nikolaos is located on the beach of Aigosthena (Porto-Germeno).

Today it is altered, with the result that its Byzantine character is not easily visible. it is about a  Vassiliki  with dome and vaulted narthex, dating to  late Byzantine period .

The cluster of monuments that exist in the area in combination with the ancient fortification that is maintained in excellent condition and the bath ruins on the beach (Fort of Aegosthena, ruins of a stone mill, etc.), testify to the importance of the area since ancient times.
